Hole Seven
This left to right dogleg, 549 yard par 5 introduces the golfer to some of the more undulating topography found at gWest.
Tee Shot
Tee shots should favour the left side of the hole, avoiding the burn which runs down the right.
Second Shot
Players have three options for their second: play a lay up left and away from the fairway bunkers, which leaves a demanding approach; lay up next to the bunkers which leaves an easier approach; or finally, play over the bunkers for a kick towards the narrow opening to the green. A raised bog, which contains a number of rare plant species, provides a unique environmental hazard left of the green.
Lay Up
Those choosing to lay up may consider using the slope to the rear of the green to manoeuver the ball close.
Green
The small green, which slopes from back left to front right, will favour shots from the right side of the fairway.
